    Noble Fin = Total Win

OK, so I was a picky eater growing up. Like, really picky. Despite a ton of international travel and mom who loves to cook, I was (and still am occasionally) what I like to call a chicken tender girl.

My friend, Erica, is a huge foodie here in Atlanta. When I go out to eat with her, we always have a wild time… and I am always guaranteed (forced) to try something new. Nine times out of ten, I love her suggestions…. And then there are the few times she insist I try something I know I won’t like (ex. raw tuna) and I completely regret it.

Recently, we went to dinner OTP at a restaurant called Noble Fin.

When we arrived, we ordered our usual starters- wine and raw oysters. I could have honestly eaten a couple dozen of the oysters and been completely satisfied- but whenever I go out with Erica we order a little bit of everything, so I knew this was just the beginning.

Our server was really friendly, so we also started with the crab cake per his recommendation…. It was AWESOME. The crab tasted really fresh and there was literally zero filler/breadcrumb. I didn’t want to share one bite of this bad boy…

Naturally, we ordered some things we knew we’d love, like scallops and shrimp n’ grits (fav).

But it wouldn’t be a productive night out if we didn’t try something new. Erica, of course, ordered the one thing on the menu I really didn’t want: the brussels sprouts. She insisted (demanded) I try at least one before we left. I put up a good fight but eventually caved… and they were surprisingly…. amazing. I threw my pride to the wind (whatever) and helped myself to some more.

At age 25, I lost my brussels sprouts virginity and I haven’t looked back since.

Our dinner that night was incredible and is just one of the meals that inspired my 2017 resolution to try more new foods. If you make it out to Noble Fin, definitely try the crab cake, shrimp n’ grits, and brussels sprouts!

Stay tuned for what I try next….
